Designed to be folded up when the shower is not used, the seat's versatile design allows it to be oriented to the right or the left. To ensure that you comply with ADA and other barrier free accessibility guidelines, the shower seat can bear up to 360 pounds of weight. Equipped with a self-locking mechanism, the seat measures 1-1/2 inches in thickness and has an inner plywood core that is 1/2 of an inch thick. The frame of the seat is made out of 16-gauge, type-304 stainless steel and attaches to the wall via circular stainless steel mounting flanges.
