For a luminous, yet fingerprint-resistant surface, the stainless steel has a satin finish. The grab bar's cover, which conceals the installation screws, snaps onto the mounting flange and is made of 22-gauge stainless steel. For maximum durability, the grab bar travels through the mounting flange and is welded in place.
